SIGMA International Board (SIB) follows a professionally benchmarked learning structure based on Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and Total Qualification Time (TQT) to ensure international comparability, academic consistency, and competency-based professional education across all SIQF qualification levels.

  • Guided Learning Hours (GLH) refer to the estimated hours spent in direct learning activities under supervision of a trainer, educator, mentor, or assessor.

  • Total Qualification Time (TQT) refers to the total estimated learning time required for successful completion of a qualification.

SIB qualifications are designed using competency-based educational principles to ensure learners achieve appropriate theoretical knowledge, practical proficiency, professional ethics, and clinical competency according to their SIQF level.
