This policy governs the use of the name, logo, and identity of SIGMA (Supreme International Grand Masters Alliance) & SIGMA International Board (SIB) by accredited / recognnised / affiliated institutes, partners, and representatives.
OWNERSHIP OF BRAND
The name “SIGMA – Supreme International Grand Masters Alliance,” its logo, emblems, certificates, and all related intellectual property are the exclusive property of SIGMA International Board.
No institute, individual, or representative acquires ownership, partnership, or trademark rights over the SIGMA brand by virtue of accreditation, affiliation, or appointment.
AUTHORIZED USE
Only the following entities are permitted to use the SIGMA name and logo:
• SIGMA-accredited institutes
• Official National Heads and Continental Heads
• Approved training partners
• Authorized examination centers
Brand usage is allowed strictly for:
• Promotion of SIGMA-approved courses
• Display of institutional accreditation
• Student certification and official communication
• SIGMA-approved academic events and programs
PROHIBITED USE
The SIGMA name or logo must not be used:
• To claim legal authority to practice
• To imply government or medical council approval
• To suggest ownership, partnership, or franchise rights
• On non-approved courses or services
• On Institute's own Certificates, Letterhead, Marksheet, Student documents.
• In misleading or deceptive advertising
• After expiry, suspension, or termination of accreditation
LOGO DESIGN RULES
SIGMA Logo is a registered trademark of SIGMA INTERNATIONAL BOARD.
• The SIGMA logo must not be altered in shape, color, or proportions.
• No additional symbols, text, or graphics may be inserted into the logo.
• The logo must always be used in its official approved format.
• The logo must not be placed alongside any inappropriate or unethical content.
• Minimum clear space around the logo must be maintained for visibility and dignity.
NAMING CONVENTIONS
Institutes must describe their status only as:
• “SIGMA Recognised Institute”
• “SIGMA Accredited Institute”
• “SIGMA Affiliated Institute”
They must not use terms such as:
• “SIGMA University”
• “SIGMA Medical Board”
• “SIGMA Government Approved”
• “SIGMA License Provider”
DIGITAL & PRINT USAGE
SIGMA branding may be used on:
• Institute websites
• Brochures and banners
• Social media pages
• Event materials
All branding materials must be truthful, professional, and compliant with SIGMA marketing and ethical standards.
USE OF SIGMA NAME, SIGMA LOGO & SIGMA CERTIFICATION
The SIGMA name, logo, seal, and branding shall not be used on an institute’s own course completion certificates, diplomas, or internal student certificates under any circumstances.
Institutes affiliated or certified by SIGMA are permitted to state their affiliation or accreditation status only in the manner expressly approved by SIGMA in writing.
Any use of the SIGMA name or logo on an institute’s own certificates, mark sheets, letterheads, or student documents shall be treated as unauthorized use, and may result in:
• Immediate suspension or termination of affiliation
• Withdrawal of certification
• Legal action where applicable
Only certificates issued directly by SIGMA International Board shall carry the SIGMA name and logo.
MONITORING & ENFORCEMENT
SIGMA reserves the right to:
• Inspect branding usage at any time
• Demand correction of misuse
• Suspend or withdraw branding rights
• Impose penalties for violations
• Terminate accreditation for repeated or serious breaches
DURATION OF BRANDING RIGHTS
The right to use the SIGMA name and logo is valid only during the active period of accreditation or appointment and must be discontinued immediately upon expiry or termination.
LEGAL PROTECTION
Unauthorized use of SIGMA branding may result in:
• Legal action
• Financial penalties
• Public disassociation
• Permanent blacklisting from SIGMA programs
ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
All accredited institutes, National Heads, Continental Heads, and partners are deemed to have accepted this Branding Policy upon affiliation with SIGMA.
